Credit Card Companies Use Facebook for Background Checks??

Most people using face book, or other sites like twitter and my space didn't used to need to worry about who might be looking at their public information, and what they might be using it for. I have read about how some of the big credit card companies are looking at the public profiles of their credit card applicants, to see what they do and who they associate with. I don't know about you, but that makes me uncomfortable. Why are they doing that? I guess they might be able to find out a lot about a person, by peering into the public lives of face book dwellers, and they apparently don't have anything better to do with their time. I think it stinks, but I am not a credit card company.

Your privacy is important to you so when you are on face book, or some other site, just be sure you only give the information that you want to share with anyone who wants to see it. Some things are better left to the imagination anyway so keep those things to yourself. Anyone can view your public profiles including, banks, creditors, employers and just about anyone, so use caution when you post more personal things about yourself.

Now that we all have a little more to worry about, we can get on with our oh so busy lives! But wait! How busy can we be, when some of us are spending half the day posting stuff on all of those social sites. You know how easy it is to fall into that trap, when you start a new post it can keep you going for hour and hours, so when does anyone get any real work done?
